CSF-3 Cat Super Feeder, Stand, Bowl and Timer Overviews
This electronic automatic cat feeder will feed very small portions up to about a cup or more per serving. It can be triggered up to at least 24 times per day with a supplied easy to program analog timer (STYLE MAY VARY). All you need to do is push one tab for each time you want to feed, and the feeder’s electronic feed system will do the rest. This Super Feeder by Super Feed is extremely easy to operate and very versatile. It could also be used with a home automation system and/or web based system. It is compact and holds 4 and 3/4 cups of food (slightly over a quart by volume). Its capacity can be increased later with extra stackable 2-cup clear extensions or 1.5 gallon hoppers available from Super-Feed. If you have a really aggressive “locksmith” cat when it comes to trying to get to the food, an optional chute cover (protective device) is available only from Super-Feed, but it is very very seldom needed and small food is recommended. Trigger two feeeders at a time with one timer for multiple cats! A “double feeder” combo is also available from super-feed. This very popular quality Super Feeder has been sold for many years. Not only is it extremely dependable and easy to operate, but it comes with customer service next to none. I have a mult-pet household, and this product has been worth every penny.
One of our cats is a rescue with food issues. She is very overweight, and if given the opportunity, will gorge until she gets sick. We had tried various feeding schedules to control both the amount of food per feeding and total amount of food daily, but this resulted in a very food aggressive cat, and did not help when we went on trips.
Enter the SuperFeeder!
Based on other reviews, we purchased this product and crossed our fingers. It has wildly exceeded our expectations.
The feeder is actually a lot smaller than I expected, and fits nicely on a small bench we use to keep the cat food out of dog reach.
It does take a bit of setup, but if you can use a screwdriver, you can assemble this easily. You will need one very small Phillips Head to do some of the small screws, but unless you are using this outside, you probably won’t need them. I put them in, and later realized it was unnecessary for my cats. Assembly time was about 30 minutes, including reading the instructions. Watch the online video at the SuperFeeder website, and it will make a lot more sense.
Setting the amount was also very easy, just two screws to adjust, one for the size of the food, one for amount, which is actually the length of time the motor runs. I got the feeding size to 1/8 of a cup per time in less than 5 minutes.
The feeder is actually very quiet. The loudest sound was the food falling into the metal bowl, which I fixed by cutting a cheap silicone pot holder to fit the bottom, which has the added advantage of being dishwasher safe.
Because of the way the motor is triggered, you can use any outlet timer you want. The one delivered with mine can give me up to 24 feeding a day, which was awesome. My cats now get ten 1/8 cup feedings a day, so my rescue cat can’t gorge, but feels fed, and the other cat can eat unmolested.
The constant yowling for food has stopped, the gorging and vomiting has stopped, and my overweight rescue cat has started losing weight. For all those reasons, this product was worth the money.
I will probably order one more clear extension for the food reservoir, which by my calculations will feed my cats for 8 days between refills. Right now, with the basic package, it feeds my two cats about 6 1/2 days. If I had more cats than that, I would get the version with large black hopper. The hopper looks really big in the photos, but now that I have seen the whole machine, I realize that it is not.
Don’t bother with the cheaper models from other manufacturers. These suckers are made in the US, and are very sturdy. I wish I had bought one a year ago.
Insatiable shelter cat saved by super feeder – David –
Chloe was the friendliest cat when we brought her home from the shelter in Boston. But she devoured every morsel in sight and was at us relentlessly for food, starting before dawn. So we bought a super feeder to try and structure her feedings and separate her drive for food from her relationship with us. This feeder has worked perfectly! Don’t even think about getting a cheaper one. This makes all the difference. Chloe is still really focused on food, but she knows it comes from the feeder and she no longer goes mental when we enter the kitchen. The toggle to set the amount of food is really sensitive so it takes awhile to get it right. We fed her 5 times a day for about 6 months. She lost a little weight which her vet said was ideal. Rather than fool with the setting we added a 6th meal and she has been at that schedule for a couple of months since. The basic time settings are mechanical not digital; so if we have a power outage, there’s no feeding for awhile, but when the power comes back on, the feeding schedule resumes. It let’s us go away with out worry. This is a great product and has let us enjoy our really super cat. Without it, I think we would really have struggled with managing her food craving. My wife Karen says to add that the feeder is smaller and less obtrusive than she expected and the cat bowl is of good quality stainless steel.

I have a cat that is fixated on food. He used to beg constantly, but he has already learned (about 2 weeks) that the Super Feeder will be giving him food. He doesn’t even look at us for food anymore. I had no problems putting it together and putting it in use. I did order the analog timer as others had expressed difficulty with the digital timer. We have to keep our cat on diet food and he would always overeat while we were away from home. Now we have a way to keep him on his diet.

I bought this feeder about a month ago for my cat. I’m joking a little when I say life changing but it really is awesome. Prior to the feeder our cat would greet us every morning at 4:30am by running across our bed and jumping on our heads, trying to wake us up to feed him. He would not stop until we feed him. My husband was about ready to get rid of him. Instead I did research on which feeder to buy and this one by far had the best recommendations. The price is a little steep compared to the other automatic feeders on the market but the all the other feeders had really mixed reviews. I thought I’d rather buy one good one then regret buying a sub-par feeder.
I was a little overwhelmed by the directions that came with the feeder at first glance. I ended up just following the step by step pictures/directions in the middle of the info packet and was able to put the feeder together, successfully, in about 20 minutes. It was much easier then I thought it was going to be at first glance.
Since I put the feeder together it has worked perfectly and I have not had to manually feed my cat since. He no longer wakes us up in the morning and it has been just wonderful. As a side note, my cat is very crafty and smart and he has not found a way to break into the feeder.
I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I actually purchased this product at another vendor because they had other items I needed, but they do not provide for a review and it’s the same product, so here goes. Our dog (70lb golden retriever) was hit by a car and had spinal cord inflammation, so he couldn’t walk and did not have control of any function below his waist. We tried making him a bed out of several different things (pillows, bed covers, etc) but since he was incontinent we would frequently find him soaked and being a large dog it was very hard to get him up, clean him, dry him, get him back in bed, etc. We ordered this cot and it was PERFECT!! Easy to set up, lightweight and the mesh allowed us to place puppy training pads below so no more soaked dog or wet floors. We also took some caster wheels, removed the rubber feet and put them on and voila! a rolling bed so we could just wheel our dog outside and save our backs. We would also use it as a gurney to take him to vet visits. As he slowly recovered the use of his legs, he would get out of it on his own, get back in and be wheeled inside again. This product has been a big help in our long ordeal!! I highly recommend it.
